Sure the Nintendo Wii was a truly revolutionary gaming platform when it was released back in December ’06 but lack of HD and communal gaming has eventually brought the popularity of the Wii to a EOL device.
But Nintendo fans don’t despair! For there are currently rumours floating around the internet that the Wii 2 will make its first appearance at E3 in June this year.
Its also being said that the Nintendo Wii 2 controller will have some sort of HD screen on it.
Said to be more powerful then the PS3 and Xbox 360, CVG has quoted a source, who said:
Nintendo’s plans sound unreal. Publishers are already planning launch titles and it’s all very exciting. The hardware is even more powerful than current HD consoles and backwards compatible with Wii. The controller will be all-new and has a HD screen on it,
Will the heir of the Nintendo Wii be unveiled at E3? In addition, more rumours are spreading about a 2012 launch date.
However there has been no official comment yet on the release or unveiling of the Wii 2.
